Our location means you can head out to all four points of the compass: we’re surrounded by the famous wine villages of Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Beaumes de Venise, while Orange, with its famous Roman Theatre which plays host, every summer, to its Chorégies summer opera festival, is a short journey.
We’re not far from Isle sur la Sorgue, Vaison la Romaine and Avignon, known throughout the world for its bridge, Palais des Papes and summer arts festival which takes place every July.
Also nearby is the Lubéron area with Roussillon’s famous ocre quarries, while Lourmarin houses the burial site of the writer Albert Camus, and Gordes with its Cistercian abbey dating back to 1148.
A little further afield from “Au coin des figuiers” you’ll find the lavender fields of Sault, as well as Mont Ventoux. This 1911-metre giant of a mountain dominates the landscape, facing both the Alpes du Nord and the Mediterranean. This famous landmark often plays host to cycling’s Tour de France, and attracts numerous amateurs year-round who try to conquer it by bicycle.
